Business cards

Business cards represent the BSS brand.

Business cards represent our brand image.

Not only do they convey important personal contact information – including name, job title, telephone number, and email address – but can often be stakeholders’ first interaction with our organisation’s overall image and brand identity.

To reduce printing, storage, and postage we always try to produce digital documents. When we do need to print, we use Cyan, Yellow, Magenta, and Black on White stock paper with a Light Grey background. You can get further information on our website www.boatsafetyscheme.org.

Letterheads

Letterheads represent our organisation and can impart a first impression to potential stakeholders.

They should therefore be professional and consistent – capturing our brand values and messages in a clear and concise way.

Large format printing

Headlines need to display a prominent message.

You can use the BSS Curve to make more of your design, along with the different colourways as described in Our Colours section.

Displays and signage

Large or small

Whatever displays or signage you’re creating, ensure you use our ‘grid system’ and always convey what our colours represent when speaking to stakeholders.

Data visualisation

When presenting complex information graphically, you’ll probably need to use a larger range of colours.

This is where our pre-created colour groups and colour tints will be useful.

You should present data in a clear, simple, and easy to understand way.

Flat colours, simple geometric shapes, and careful consideration of the appropriate format / visualisation method help achieve this.

Here are some examples of using the brand colours in a simple, bold, and graphic way when presenting various types of data.
